You Can Call it a Reboot

In 2024, I self-published my novel Daredevil. It was a great learning experience and I was pretty pleased with how far I was able to take it as a solo, independent author. There was a great deal of work involved from learning the ins and outs of Amazon, to hiring a cover artist, to applying my social media and PR skills to pitch Bookstagrammers and gather readers and reviewers.

Last year, I met with the women behind Sibylline Press who specialize in publishing the work of women authors over 50. I was impressed with the Sibylline team, and spoke with some of their authors about their experiences working with Sibylline. When they expressed interest in a reboot of Daredevil, I was excited to collaborate and explore the possibilities.

So…after working together during the past year, I’m excited to say that a new version of Daredevil will be published by Sibylline on November 13, 2026. To be clear, if you’ve already purchased and read my novel, the new version is not significantly different (though it does have a brand spanking-new cover!) and I certainly would not expect anyone to acquire another copy. But if you read and enjoyed it but didn’t review it and think you might like to, I’d love to provide you with an ARC (that’s Advanced Reader Copy for you book newbies!) of the new version in exchange for a short review. If you’re interested, you can go to this BookSprout link to sign up!

And if you didn’t get around to reading Daredevil the first time, or you’d like to recommend it to your friends and family, the Kindle version is available on Amazon now for pre-order.

Finally, I’m painfully aware that a writer needs to keep writing! While I’ve continued to focus on my Comms/Marketing practice during the past year or so, I am in progress with something new and hope to tell you more about it in the near future.

Stay tuned and thanks for reading! I’d love to hear your thoughts on the new cover, the original or new version of Daredevil, or any general bookish thoughts you have!
