Lori Simone Hultin has spent 25+ years developing successful public relations and marketing programs for some of the world’s largest technology companies including IBM, Cisco, and Hewlett Packard Enterprise, while nursing her lifelong passion for creative writing after hours.
Her creative side hustles included writing about parenting, aging and suburbia for sites like Patch.com and Thrive Global, blogging about her favorite sport – hockey – and her favorite team – the Los Angeles Kings – for sites like The Pink Puck and CaliSports News, and writing short fiction including “Catch a Falling Star”, published in The Baltimore Review.
In addition, Lori spent a number of years working on her novel Daredevil, the story of suburban housewife, Macy Reardon, whose membership in a social club of like-minded women, leads her to take increasingly risky dares that begin to unravel her once idyllic life. One of Lori’s UCLA Writer’s Program instructors called Daredevil “fight club for soccer Moms”.
When Lori isn’t writing, she’s reading a great novel, watching sports, spending time with her husband, two adult daughters, and faithful Labrador Retriever, and going to as many concerts and sporting events as her budget will allow.
Lori loves to travel and is intent on getting to all of the countries her husband, Per, a native of Sweden, has already visited. A former certified aerobics instructor (and yes – she has written about fitness, too!), Lori now feeds her exercise fix with walking, short Peloton rides, and Pilates classes.
